These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your use of the autokeep.me mobile application — a Russian-language personal car-maintenance tracker for Android and iOS (Android application id com.alekhindev.autokeep), the “App”. This text is a translation of the Russian version; in case of discrepancies, the Russian version prevails.

The App is developed and provided by ИП Алёхин Роман Сергеевич (sole proprietor Roman Sergeevich Alekhin), registered in the Russian Federation, ИНН (INN) 713005978740, ОГРНИП (OGRNIP) 326710000026194 (the “Developer”).

By installing and using the App you accept these Terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the App and delete it from your device.

What autokeep.me is

autokeep.me is a personal car-maintenance logbook. The App lets you keep a list of cars, a history of services and repairs, a parts list, expenses, and mileage readings, and shows a service plan calculated from the mileage you enter and the interval you choose.

The App works standalone, on the device: no registration and no accounts are required or provided, and all content (cars, history, parts, expenses, mileage) is stored only in a local database on your device. There is no cloud sync in version 1.0.0.

The App is free

The App is provided free of charge. It has no paid features, no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, and no advertising; the Developer sells you nothing and accepts no payments from you. The “Buy” screen is a list of parts you plan to purchase yourself from third parties; the App takes no part in such purchases and is not a payment service.

Licence

The Developer grants you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own, for personal, non-commercial purposes. The licence lasts as long as these Terms do. The App is not sold to you — you are granted a right to use it.

What you may not do

When using the App, you agree not to:

• reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, or otherwise attempt to derive its source code, except where expressly permitted by law;
• modify the App, create derivative products from it, distribute, rent, sell, or resell it, or pass it on to third parties under your own name;
• remove or alter attribution or other notices inside the App;
• use the App in violation of the laws of the Russian Federation;
• attempt to disrupt the operation of the App or of the Developer’s diagnostics server.

The App gives no advice and does not decide for you

This clause matters — please read it carefully.

autokeep.me is an informational record-keeping tool. The App is not a source of technical, operational, legal, or any other advice, and it does not replace your vehicle’s manual, the manufacturer’s recommendations, an authorised service centre, or a qualified specialist.

The service plan, due dates, reminders, and calculations are derived solely from the data you enter yourself and from a generic default interval (15,000 km) that you can change. That interval is not tied to the make, model, or operating conditions of your particular car and is not a recommendation on how to service it.

Decisions about maintenance, repairs, replacing parts and components, and the safe operation of your vehicle are yours alone and are made at your own risk. The App should not be used as the only source of information about your car’s condition.

Your data and backups

The content of the App is yours. The Developer acquires no rights to it, has no access to it, and keeps no copies of it: the data lives only on your device.

An important practical consequence follows: backups are your responsibility. Your data will be lost if you delete the App, or reset or lose your device. For that purpose the App provides “Export” and “Import” on the “About” screen: export saves a backup to a file that you keep yourself, import restores the data from such a file. Note that import replaces all current data in the App and cannot be undone.

The Developer does not and cannot restore lost data.

Privacy

How the App handles data is described in a separate document — the Privacy Policy. In short: the App collects no personal data; the only thing that leaves the device is anonymous technical crash reports, which can be turned off on the “About” screen. All data-processing matters are governed by the Privacy Policy, not by these Terms.

Intellectual property

The App, its source code, design, graphics, texts, and the autokeep.me name belong to ИП Алёхин Р.С. (sole proprietor R.S. Alekhin) or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law. These Terms grant you no rights in the App other than the licence to use it expressly set out above.

The App uses open-source components distributed under their own licences.

The App is provided “as is”

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”. The Developer is an individual developer, not a service company, and does not warrant that the App will operate uninterrupted or error-free, that it is compatible with any particular device or operating-system version, or that every defect found will be fixed. To the extent permitted by the law of the Russian Federation for software supplied free of charge, no other warranties, express or implied, are given.

Liability

The App is provided free of charge and, to the extent permitted by law, the Developer is not liable for lost profits, indirect damages, or for loss of data occurring through no fault of the Developer (including when the App is deleted, the device is reset or lost, or you have no backup).

At the same time, these Terms do not limit the rights granted to you by mandatory provisions of Russian law, including Law of the Russian Federation No. 2300-1 of 07.02.1992 “On the Protection of Consumer Rights”. Liability for harm to life, health, or property caused by defects in the App, and liability for intentional breaches, is neither excluded nor limited. Should any provision of these Terms prove invalid as limiting your consumer rights, the remaining provisions stay in force.

Updates and discontinuation

The Developer may release updates to the App, change, add, or remove its features, and may discontinue the development, support, or distribution of the App in app stores. Updates are installed by the app store in accordance with your device settings.

An App already installed will keep working locally after support ends — it does not require the Developer’s servers. Even so, exporting a backup before any major change to your device is recommended.

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device; deleting it also removes its local data.

Distribution through app stores

The App is distributed through app stores (Google Play, Apple App Store, RuStore). The rules of the relevant store additionally apply to downloading, installing, and updating the App. For matters concerning the store’s own operation, the store’s terms apply; the relationship between you and the Developer regarding the App is governed by these Terms.

Age

The App contains no material requiring an age restriction (rated 0+). If you have not reached the age at which you may accept these Terms on your own, use the App with the consent of a parent or other legal guardian.

Changes to these Terms

The Developer may update these Terms — for example, when new features appear. The current version is always available at alekhin-dev.com/legal/autokeep-terms-en, and the “Last updated” date is shown at the top of the document. Material changes are announced in the App’s update notes in the app store and/or on the “About” screen. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new version; if you do not agree, delete the App.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Russian Federation. The parties will seek to settle any disagreement by correspondence: write to roman@alekhin-dev.com and the Developer will reply within a reasonable time. Unresolved disputes are settled in the courts of the Russian Federation in accordance with consumer-protection law, including at the consumer’s place of residence.
